Bodywork
This modality addresses chronic issues – pains, injuries, emotional holdings - and offers the opportunity for change on many levels.
We work with the fascial system of the body, a body system that gives us our shape, our posture, our general “bearing” in the world. Because of its physical makeup, fascia takes on holding patterns. These shapes may be uncomfortable, and may no longer serve us.
Using deep, slow techniques that speak and dance with our fascial net, we create an environment for shift; for better posture, less pain, more integrated balance throughout the body, as well as expanded options for movement, agility and awareness.
This work is offered as either a series of 12 sessions, three sessions, or as a single session.
Each session begins with a postural analysis, where we will visually see what your posture and structure can tell us. We then move to the table, or sitting or even standing or in movement, to explore the work..
Very little lotion is used, for a deep, high “drag” experience.
I highly recommend this work for people from all walks of life, who are experiencing chronic pain, ongoing questions about alignment, and/or feel "stuck", and ready to move on in life's journey.
Stillness. Slowing Down. Turning inwards.
We will work together with intuitive, yet precise, and very gentle hands-on holds on parts of your body, very often your cranium (skull) and sacrum. These structures, which include bones, membranes and fluids, are delicate and resilient, and they support and protect our brain and spinal cord. The intention is to correct imbalances and dysfunctions in our craniosacral system for more optimal function, health, and vitality.
This work can be very helpful for traumatic stress, physical, or emotional. It can relieve chronic pain, and increase joint freedom. It can be a powerful reset to the nervous system, reducing anxiety, fear and worry. It is deeply integrating for body, mind and spirit, healing deeply set patterns through patience and openness, rather than force or agenda. It is a space for quiet and inner journeying.
The work is done on a massage table. You are clothed and comfortable. I am working to tune in to your deepest needs, moment to moment.
This is some of the most reverent work I do. I am honored to have studied with my teacher, Hugh Milne, who has taught me the gifts of stillness, poetry, inner vision, dance, ritual, humanity, and our connections to our ancestors. I continue to be astounded by the mystery of this work.
Thai massage is an ancient healing modality originally intended to prepare monks for many hours of mediation practices. Also known as Thai Yoga Massage, this modality has three basic principles that give it its unique flavor.
The first element is palm (or even foot, knee or elbow) pressure through the receiver’s tissues. This is very releasing, relieving and detoxifying, and gives the receiver a great sense of his or her three dimensionality. Second is stretching, or yogic stretching. The giver offers the receiver profound stretches, opening the body passively into forward bends, back bends, twists, and even inversions. Great for increasing flexibility and improving your yoga practice! The third element is offering the receiver openings along Energy Lines. This helps the receiver stay free of blockages in the body, promoting health, balance and well-being. The massage is practiced clothed, on a soft, padded floor mat. What clients love most about this treatment is the offering to increase flexibility, relax stressed muscles and mind, and always promotes good digestion, leading to great overall health.
As a practitioner, I keep the Three Jewels of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha present as I work: to work from my Buddha nature, at my highest potential, to follow my dharma, or path in doing this work, and to feel the presence of Sangha, community, interconnectedness with my client and all sentient beings.

Flowing, healing massage. Deep tissue massage is designed to both relax and realign you; body and mind. Organic jojoba oil is used to create a flowing, soothing, yet deep touch, with special emphasis on the receiver’s specific needs.
The massage could be focused on relieving stressed, tired or injured shoulders, neck, low back, hips, legs or feet, or simply on relaxing your whole being from head to toe.
I work with specific pressure points and deep sweeping techniques for increased blood flow to the muscles and connective tissue, and with a soothing, caring, knowledgeable attitude.
This massage is for you if you tend to carry your stress and tension in your body, have a specific injury you would like addressed, or have a difficult time letting go of your cares and worries. You will leave feeling relaxed, loose, refreshed, and detoxified.
Deep tissue massage is wonderful as a regular adjunct to your self-care, preventative health-care routine.
